John Lennon: gone but not forgotton
Imagine
Imagine there's no heaven,
It's easy if you try,
No hell below us,
Above us only sky,
Imagine all the people
living for today...
Imagine there's no countries,
It isnt hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
No religion too,
Imagine all the people
living life in peace...
Imagine no possesions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
A brotherhood of man,
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say Im a dreamer,
but Im not the only one,
I hope some day you'll join us,
And the world will live as one.

I was just down the street from the Queen Elizabeth Hotel when he and Yoko did their "give peace a Chance" bed-in. Those were heady times at University. Civil Rights, Nixon, Mayor Daley, Kent State, Viet Nam. My Afro and goatee are gone. No more munchies. The gang from our Co-op have moved everywhere and no longer keep in touch. If John had gone big-league with security and a big entourage he may still be with us. I think when the kids come home for Christmas I'll let them have a couple drinks, then take them to the spare bedroom, put in a red lightbulb, light incense and we'll sit on the floor listening to "Revolver" and "Rubber Soul" then they will know the old man was coool.
Check out what Sean Lennon posted on his website:
