I went to see King Kong tonight.
I saw Kong as a metaphor for the power of nature, and the desire of man to control it. It was so sad, on so many levels. Humans think they have a right to conquer nature, and then when they realize that it is beyond their power to contain, they bring out the war machines. Alas, in times of crisis, it seems that fire power is the only response we have.
Isn't there a better way?
